Omg not too long ago I was talking to theignorantindian about time travel and I mentioned that if we had the tech for it we’d probably use it to build colonies in the past and shit but it turns out I wasn’t nearly as clever as I thought I was when I said that (I hardly ever am as clever as I think I am) because that’s already a TV show (Terra Nova). Drat.

So now I’m just going to watch it and see how well it is executed.

I don’t think I’m going to watch The Walking Dead anymore. It is just getting ridiculous.

Seriously, when they shoot at walkers they are masters of head shots, but when they have firefights they can’t hit for shit?! And if it’s the governor? Pfft. The Governor might as well be fucking Magneto, bending bullets away from him and shit.

Then again everyone who points a gun at him magically has the idiot ball because they always, always just point it and refuse to shoot until he pulls his pistol out and shoots them with it faster than they can simply pull the trigger of the gun already aimed at his fucking head.

Not to mention the Gov is an incredible shot for someone who is right handed and just lost their eye. For fucks sakes, he’s not THAT great of a villian, you can stop playing him up now. He’s just a messed up guy but he isn’t motherfucking invinsible.

And Andrea! Picking stuff up with your feet is not that hard! And how unflexible do you have to be to not be able to reach your hand with it? This show is just like ‘oh I’mma play up the tension and drama so hard! but then nothing ever happens!’ and it just gets worse and worse.

I’m tired of the silly firefights, of Rick being an absolute dick to everyone, of everyone grabbing the idiot ball around the gov… just everything. There’s dramatic tension and then there’s… this.

I’ve been watching The Colony, which is a cool show involving an experiment with people living in a simulated post-apocalyptic setting. The first season was way cool, with engineering and shit EVERYWHERE.

Second season just involves a lot of fighting and killing snakes. Not cool.

Because of course, girls who have been taught nothing else by their elders except that their appearance is what matters are the reason we are all lazy and narcissistic.

I have to disagree,

I don’t think the post reflects the thoughts of someone who read the article. The article is not focused on selfies and being obsessed with looks. It may talk about the trend of this generation becoming fame obsessed and entitled, with examples of both girls and guys who are now “instagram-famous,” but it’s not “shitting on the latest generation.” In fact the writer was very aware that everyone shits on the latest generation, and he makes a joke about it claiming “but I have statistics!” to prove he’s right for shitting on this one, but knowing that even though he has the data it’s still a cliche and it still doesn’t cover the whole story. A large portion of the article then continues on about why this generation, despite and because of its own unique flaws, will “save” or improve society.

Although, I understand the sentiment and I agree with it, I don’t think this particular article is the one that should be under fire. In my opinion this is just a case of a tumblr user swearing and making a big social-justice deal about something, that deserves merit, but is misplaced.

Even so, having a cover like that and introducing itself that way isn’t exactly a good way to make people want to read the article.
