I HAVE TOO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT MOMIJI OK???
seriously though he’s pretty much the deepest character in the series, and the only member of the zodiac to stand up to Akito (besides Rin, of course, but we see where that got her).
I’m in here fucking crying over that scene with his mom and Momo
and then he gets all sad because of Kisa and worrying that her mom will end up like his mom and not like her anymore
guh I just can’t with this guy
Tell me— Who taught you to fight like that?
My father!!
The second time I played through I made a disgusting noise because… oh gods the emotions this game elicits in me. SO SAD
At least about everyone being stranded in the Sol System at the end of ME3. Everyone’s like “All the Turians and Quarians are going to die of starvation!” But uh, did we forget while we were bitching that all the fleets were stranded in Sol, that the Flotilla is also stranded in Sol?
Did we forget that the Quarians have agriculture ships and grow their own food? Even if the ending sucked and was unsatisfying in every sense of the word, we can at least rest assured that the Turians and Quarians won’t starve to death.
It’s actually more likely that everyone else will starve to death because the only food they have is the supplies they brought with them and what might be left on Earth after the Reapers attacked.
But the Quarians have been growing food for their entire Flotilla since they were driven from Rannoch. I’m sure they can continue to do so.
There is a ton of feedback about Mass Effect 3 going on right now. I think I’ll need to play it again before I really get a feel for it (that’s so weird to say after spending 28+ hours on the first playthrough) but I wanted to share my initial thoughts with whoever is willing to listen. Really great game, I think.
Spoilers, obviously.
First of all, THANKS EVERYBODY FOR THE UNMARKED SPOILERS. Yeah. (By the way if you aren’t caught up with the show don’t read this, I’m talking about spoilers :D)
First off, on Season 2 in general:
People keep complaining that it is not as good as season 1. I don’t know what it is, maybe it is because my boy Daryl is getting lots of character development or something, but for some reason I absolutely love season 2. I know everyone thinks “aw it is slowing down and there is less action and BLAHBLAHBLAH” but, believe it or not, this show is not supposed to be some action/horror show about killing zombies. It is about the human condition, what makes us people and how we can change and be dangerous if something like, you know, the apocalypse happened. The show isn’t necessarily about the walkers or how they are going to survive them, but how the people are going to survive each other. And personally all the conflict and character growth this season is great. Keep it coming guys.
As for 18 Miles Out: I really loved this episode too, even though there was no Daryl or Glen or most anyone really. There was already enough going on I suppose. But about this “but they only have scratches” thing about the cops. Who the f*** cares? They don’t have to have been scratches from before they were dead. As we saw with the walker pushing its face through glass and tearing itself to shreds to get at Lori, walkers aren’t particularly into this whole “self-preservation” thing and don’t care if they run into things or whatever. They could have scratched themselves after they were reanimated. Or not. But I don’t think “if you get scratched by walkers you’ll become one” was the message there. I thought it was a step toward finding out the true nature of the infection. I know that the characters have sometimes shown caution, like in Guts (“don’t let it touch your skin”) and in “Tell it to the Frogs” (not eating the deer) but you know they get blood all over them when they are getting those up-close and personal kills. When Shane got back from the whole Otis fiasco he had scratches and scrapes on him. Hell, Rick killed three walkers right on top of him! If he didn’t get scratches from that then that’s bullshit. And we all know he isn’t going to turn (he’s our main character and we have at least another season of him). So I think the whole “OMG SHANE WHY DID YOU CUT YOURSELF WITH THAT KNIFE THAT YOU JUST KILLED A WALKER WITH?!” is bullshit as well. They didn’t even draw attention to his cut or anything, so I don’t think that is going to infect him.
“Oh, but Jaimie, haven’t you seen the *SPOILERS* pictures of Shane as a walker?”
Yeah, hence the first sentence of this post.
*continued spoilers* As I understand, the infection is just kind of latent in everyone and when you die you come back and it doesn’t matter how you are killed. I am thinking that perhaps they will have Carl kill Shane (as in the comics) and this will prove that they can come back no matter how they are killed, and then they will have to put down walker Shane. Maybe they won’t have Carl do it (I’m not sure he has the stomach for it yet) but he obviously dies somehow. I guess we’ll see soon enough.
*end spoilers*
As for next week’s episode. I am a little bit sad to see Daryl beating the living shit out of Randall because I thought he was softening up some, but I think it is still in character for him. He is just protecting his new family.
Also it is really weird to see a picture of him with a gun and no crossbow. What.
Speaking of, someone else posted a picture of Dale with a gun that looked suspiciously like the one that Daryl had, and the sleeves on said person looked like him as well. I am confused. Why would Daryl do that? Of course it might not be, and I don’t tend to trust things like that (ever since that picture was on the internet with Baird from Gears of War about to be killed by Locust before Gears 2 came out, which obviously didn’t happen) but it could happen. There was also a clip with Daryl saying something about his brother. Is he going to go berserk on everyone? That would suck, I was really getting into his character. However I doubt he’ll do anything too crazy otherwise they’d have to kill him too and I heard that he’s supposed to be around for Merle’s reappearance in Season 3 (although all of that is heavily implied and not outright said).
Oh goodness. Season 3. The Governor. I’m so scared. I never read that part of the comics but from what I’ve heard it’s going to be terrifying. I’m kind of thinking that Merle will be closely associated with that riffraff. Oh goodness I’m so scared.
Sorry I guess I just had to rant after seeing all the random theories flying around the internet.
Btw, I should totally cosplay Maggie, considering I already look just like her. Gonna happen.
Peace and love guys.
P.S. People who are like “NO MAGGIE WHY MUST YOU KISS GLEN!”; grow up. They’re a couple, and even if Glen wasn’t kissing her, he sure as hell wouldn’t be kissing you.
